Why participate in the ITOBA Stallion Service Auction?

*** Progeny of purchased stallions are eligible for nomination to the  ITOBA Stallion Season Auction Stakes races of 2029 (3yo’s)***

*** Proceeds support funding for scholarships, aftercare programs, etc. ***

Go to Home | Indiana Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Association (itoba.com) to read more about stakes eligibility and learn more about ITOBA.  To obtain additional information on breeding in the lucrative State of Indiana, go to HRC: Thoroughbred: Thoroughbred Home (in.gov).

Please read the following information carefully for all of the Stallion Auction guidelines.

This auction will utilize DYNAMIC AUCTION ENDINGS. This means if any stallion receives a bid in the last 5 minutes, the auction will be extended by an additional 5 minutes. This will continue until there are no bids  received in the final 5 minutes. At that point, bidding is closed for that stallion. This option is in place to give everyone a fair chance to place the last bid and prevent snipe bids in the last second of the auction event.

The minimum bid is based on the 2025 published stud fee or the reserve set by the stallion owner.
